Storm's Brewin'

This is an acrylic painting on cradled wood. It is a diptych, one painting on 2 panels to be hung next to each other. Each panel is 16" x 16".

This was one of my favourite places to sketch near my home when I lived in Ottawa, Petrie Island. It has beautiful views both in the winter and summer. The sunsets are awesome and the horizon is crisp. There was a storm brewing and the river and sky were particularly glorious! The lack of colour gives you a chill that you would have felt if you had been there that day.
